Non-Pilot Information
Animal Rescue Flights still has a lot to offer if you're not a pilot or even if you're scared to fly!

Flights are affected by many things, such as bad weather, and can't always be completed. If you are willing to drive or help foster an animal, then you can be an important part of a transport.

Getting the word out about ARF is just as important as flying missions. Do you have some friends who are pilots? Introduce them to ARF! Don't know any pilots? That's okay because posting recruitment flyers at airports helps ARF rescue more animals. Please consider keeping some Animal Rescue Flights recruitment flyers in your car, and the next time you're near an airport, locate a "General Aviation" business or businesses (FBOs) and see if they have a pilot message board where one can be posted. Most airport managers will be happy to make room.

Newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, and cable stations in your area might be interested in a news story about an Animal Rescue Flight in their area. Keep an eye on our Message Boards to see if there are any ARF flights stopping in a town. We can plan an interview with the pilots so invite a news reporter to meet you at the airport. If it's a TV station or publication, there will be plenty of great video and pictures of the animals being rescued!

If you don't see a flight coming to your area, you can also ask a radio station if they would consider running our Public Service Announcement (PSA)...

Neal Boortz is a nationally syndicated talk show host, and a pilot, who was generous enough to record a Public Service Announcement (PSA) that is running on radio and internet to help recruit pilots for Animal Rescue Flights.
